Will Hernández

Will Hernandez is a professional NFL athlete, entrepreneur, and proud Hispanic leader whose story represents resilience, family, sacrifice, and the power of believing beyond limitations. Born in Mexico and raised with a deep connection to his heritage, Will's journey to the NFL is proof that Hispanic athletes can rise to the highest levels of sports through discipline, purpose, and relentless work.

As the son of Robert Hernandez, Will's foundation was shaped by family, toughness, and the kind of adversity that builds character. During his childhood, the Hernandez family went through a difficult financial season. In Will's freshman and sophomore years of high school, his family lost their home and was forced to move into a Home Depot shed out of necessity. At one point, Will nearly gave up football to find a job and help provide for his family.

Instead, he accepted a challenge that would change the direction of his life: pursue a Division I scholarship, despite having never played football before, with the dream of one day reaching the NFL and creating a better future for his family. That desire to help save his family became the driving force behind his work ethic, discipline, and determination.

Will went on to earn a scholarship to the University of Texas at El Paso, where he became one of the most decorated offensive linemen in school history. He started all 49 games of his college career and earned back-to-back AP All-American Second Team honors, Pro Football Focus First Team All-American recognition, All-Conference USA First Team honors, and an invitation to the Reese's Senior Bowl. He also became the first UTEP student-athlete to earn back-to-back AP All-America honors.

Before long, Will received the phone call that less than 1% of college athletes ever receive - an opportunity to play in the NFL. He found his first NFL home with the New York Giants and later continued his career with the Arizona Cardinals. Now with eight years in the league and counting, Will's longevity is a rare achievement in a sport where the average career lasts only a few seasons.

Beyond football, Will is the founder and CEO of Mijo Culture, Mijos Tacos, and the Mijo Foundation, alongside his best friends Josh Ortega and Derek Elmendorff. Through these ventures, he continues to celebrate Hispanic culture, create opportunities, and give back to the next generation.

Will's story is more than football. It is a testimony of family, heritage, sacrifice, entrepreneurship, and the CORE belief that greatness is built from the inside out.
